About

A relatively small but very friendly Lodge with a mix of senior and new members. The Lodge has a good atmosphere with visitors keen to return from various parts of the country for several years. The Lodge meets on a Friday at Freemasons Hall four times per year and holds rehearsals to suit its members availability. Zoom conferencing has become both a learning tool and social vehicle in recent times with fun had at all occasions, be it business or social.

Our meetings, including ceremonies are conducted in a friendly manner whilst ensuring that ritual is delivered to a very good standard.
Our members are active or retired members of many trades or professions, including communications, training, IT, bank, legal, community officers and plumbing or building.

New members and visitors are always welcome and both would enjoy our dining experience, which takes place close to Freemasons Hall with our menu choices aligned to the time of year.

Lodge History

The lodge was formed by members of the Prudential Insurance Company who were based in High Holborn. The Holborn Bars name came from the street immediately adjacent to the building. The lodge also contains members of the Holborn Borough Council Lodge (#3272) that has now closed.
